While I’m writing this post, every little muscle of my body is screaming out of pain. Who would’ve thought that hiking 1,9 Miles could do that kind of damage. Definitely not me…
Scrolled down upstate hiking trails and found Minnewaska Lake trail – level easy. Perfect. And it’s even in my favorite part of upstate. New Paltz, Mohonk…

My dogs were excited for an opportunity to poop in the new places. Honestly, as soon as they jumped out of the car, they almost immediately and almost simultaneously make the poop scene. I guess their bowel movement excited too.

We were ready for easy and relaxing hiking. Completely silly idea but we were ready to dissolve ourselves in the nature. I bet we would’ve done that if only there were two of us. I mean we and the nature. I also could bet that every other visitor we met thought about the same… I have to say that almost every other visitors have their own pair of dogs, which made me believe that we were in the same page of thinking… we are and the nature…you know.

If I was into statistics I would say that every 5 square feet of Minnewaska Lake Trail had
two people, one dog and one bicyclist!

Happy people everywhere you go. I’m not saying that is a bad thing, but it’s not what I signed up for.
Instead of unity with nature, you had people’s marsh against it. It was loud and noisy.
I’m not complaining (or maybe I am) but I think it’s fun if you have a friends and family gather together who’s willing to go for a walk. But in my opinion, you must respect the others around you. It is not necessarily to speak loudly while you are walking next to your friend within two inches from each other.
Well, despite beauty of this place, Minnewaska Lake Trail joined my Not-to-Go List, along with Bear Mountain trail. If I want to be in overcrowded places I wouldn’t leave a Brooklyn.

My rating goes: 6 out of 10
Driving proximity- 2 hours 35 min, it’s ok
Worth to visit- absolutely! Breathtaking view all around Lake.
Unity with nature – nope, not really. Too overcrowded.
